Why It's So Hard To Believe These Celebrities Turn 30 in 2025

A list of celebrities turning 30 in 2025 has shocked internet users, sparking conversations on TikTok about aging and perceptions of youth.

Content creator Louis Levanti (@louislevanti) shared the roster of stars entering their 30s, along with his take on whether they looked their age. His video has received more than 206,600 likes and over 1.7 million views on the app.

The celebrities included: Troye Sivan, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Rachel Sennett, Ayo Edebiri, Jimin of BTS, Jisoo of Blackpink, and Kendall Jenner.

Levanti said he didn't think 30 was old, but instead felt that time was passing so quickly that it seemed these celebrities "should all be in their early 20s." Newsweek reached out to @louislevanti for comment via TikTok. We could not verify the details of the case.

"People are more willing to disclose their age, and this indicates change. But age-shaming persists," Dr. Michele Leno, a licensed psychologist and host of "Mind Matters," told Newsweek.

The TikTok post sparked a colorful discussion in the comments. Levanti said Troye Sivan and Dua Lipa gave off "30" energy, while Megan Thee Stallion, Rachel Sennett, Ayo Edebiri, Jimin, and JISU all seemed "too young to be entering their 30s." He added that Post Malone looked older, and he was particularly surprised by Kendall Jenner. "I used to think me and her looked like we were exactly the same age. But here I'm, like, this is a mother. This is a womanly figure. But, again, I'm still shocked."

Social-media users defended how young 30 actually is. "Everyone makes out 30 is so old but I'm starting to realize 30 is not old at all," said Audrey Ryan.

"Why do you make it sound like they're about to d*e?!?!? 30 is mad young," posted Sina.

"I feel like until you turn 30 you realize you're not old, it's like 20's 2.0," added another viewer.

"Troye is so gen z tho like i cant believe," read another comment.

Leno said that society's obsession with aging is rooted in how we are socialized.

She added: "Our obsession with age has everything to do with conditioning. We focus on age as a negative concept and something that must be defied. However, aging represents an opportunity for change and growth. Our minds and bodies adapt as long as we nurture them.

"Understandably, everyone wants to look and feel their best, and this can happen at any age. However, we have learned through media images and headlines, that looking and feeling good are about youth," Leno added.

"The fear of turning 30, 40, or 50 exists only because you have been told that it reflects 'getting old.' We quickly embrace '30 is the new 20' because it says, 'I still look and feel great for my age.' Even if you feel and look better than you did in your 20s, the negative connotation associated with age overshadows that reality."
