Vanessa Reiser has a new book coming out, Narcissistic Abuse: A Therapist’s Guide to Identifying, Escaping, and Healing From Toxic and Manipulative People. However, despite what one may think based on the title, the book does not mention Luis Ruelas.
Luis raised all sorts of red flags for Real Housewives of New Jersey fans and cast members. Compounding on these red flags were Vanessa’s claims against Luis. Vanessa first claimed Luis and Bo Dietl sent fake clients into her practice to try and dig up information on Vanessa and Luis.
Soon after, Vanessa and her legal team levied more claims against the reality star and private detective. On top of the harassment claims, the team alleged Luis had “hacked” Vanessa’s computers. Luis turned around and sued Vanessa over her own alleged harassment. But Vanessa hasn’t let the legal battles stop her productivity.
Vanessa Reiser says her book is not about her experience with Luis Ruelas
Vanessa spoke with In Touch about her upcoming book. Regarding Luis’ absence in the work, Vanessa explained, “The book is really bigger than any of my experiences. It’s a lot of compiling of data regarding my clients, a lot of evidence-based articles that I’ve read.” She added there was “a ton of information on cults and domestic violence” as well.
“So, it’s really not a memoir. It’s not about me.” To that point, Vanessa also confirmed that she did not contact Luis throughout the book-writing process because “it has nothing to do with him.”
Vanessa shared that she decided to write the book after she “noticed that there was a disconnect between people who had gone through narcissistic abuse and those that have extricated themselves from cults.” Put simply, “The book is designed specifically to fuse the concepts of narcissistic abuse and cult abuse.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock.
