Why Sister Wives Star Christine Brown Is Made for Monogamy

2 hours ago 7

It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes or Nancy Drew to figure out that Christine Brown is much happier living a monogamous lifestyle. Sister Wives fans have been watching Christine navigate her loveless marriage to Kody Brown for over ten years. Each incident that Kody erupted on her seemed to be one more nail driven into the coffin of their marriage. But in 2021, everything changed for the mother of six when she finally decided to leave the patriarch in the dust and divorce him.

Christine Brown is over the moon with David Woolley

Fans of Sister Wives were surprised to learn just how fast Christine could move on from her two-decade marriage. In fact, it seemed like Christine jumped back into the dating pool pretty quickly. Season 19 shows the TLC star dating a few men but meeting and falling in love with David Woolley. The contractor seemed nice enough, but just like her children, everyone was a little apprehensive. The dup have showcased their romance online, including nacho dates that clearly mock Kody. The PDA has been a bit too much for fans to stomach, but Christine is letting everyone know she is happy.

The pair got engaged less than a year after they started to date in April 2023. A recent episode showed David and Christine not settling and touring wedding venues before they were even engaged. The whole act felt a bit cringey, but the couple remained steadfast, knowing they were one another’s soul mates. In October 2023, the two became husband and wife. Obviously, Kody was not invited to the ceremony. One thing is for sure, Christine is never letting David go.

Christine Brown doesn’t believe in polygamy anymore

Even though Christine comes from a long line of Mormons and is considered Mormon royalty, she no longer believes in the lifestyle. Since leaving Kody, she has moved away from her church and doesn’t believe she needs a release from Kody. After being a third wife for so long, she just wants to be somebody’s number one choice. Now, she no longer has to go to sleep alone or wonder what her husband is up to as she deals with the green-eyed monster. As the couple recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary, Christine took some time to speak with Us Weekly.

The Utah resident shared, “I’m happier than I’ve ever been. We’re totally a partnership. Not surprisingly, Christine loves being the queen of the castle. She gushed, noting, “I absolutely love monogamy — I was made for it. There’s no keeping score; we just both love and move forward.” During a recent Sister Wives episode, Christine shared that it helped David knew people who were polygamists, so it didn’t feel like she was ever being judged. The new season showcases their earlier dates, and it is hard to argue that the pair might not have had love at first sight.

Christine Brown married the right man

Christine shared what married life has been like, and it seems pretty perfect. She revealed that she and David are “full of adventure and security at the same time. It’s amazing how much stuff we’ve been able to do, just having a good time together. David and I just synced up our lives together, and I feel like we’ve accomplished so much. We’ve just had a blast, and it’s just been wonderful being loved and loving. It’s just been amazing.”

To say Christine is happy would be a major understatement. While Kody is still bitter back in Utah, his ex is making the most of her new life. As for adjusting to a monogamous lifestyle, Christine shared that she was “a bit worried the day before we moved in together. I’d never lived with a guy full-time before. But we moved right into life with each other. I didn’t know that we could both accomplish and do everything that we want to do, but just better than we’ve ever done before.” Christine knows she made the right choice, adding, “It’s just mind-blowing how having someone there to support you just makes you a better person. It’s phenomenal to me.”
