Now that Noah Centineo has made his big XO, Kitty debut, fans are wondering: Will Lara Jean Covey follow?
In case you missed it, XO, Kitty is a spinoff of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, the beloved rom-com series that introduced us to Noah’s Peter Kavinsky and Lana Condor’s Lara Jean Covey. The original trilogy had it all: heartfelt letters, dreamy love stories, and some serious sibling dynamics.
Season 1 of XO, Kitty premiered in 2023 and focused on Kitty Covey (played by Anna Cathcart), Lara Jean’s youngest sister, as she moved To All the Boys cast, Season 2 brought in some familiar faces. Not only did Noah return as Peter Kavinsky, but Kitty’s older sister Margot (played by Janel Parrish) made an appearance too.
So, how did Peter end up back in the mix? Noah explained in an interview with People:
“I love Anna so much. She’s just doing such an incredible job and [I’d do] anything to support her,” he shared. “She’s such a hardworking actress and such a professional. I joke and say she was literally the most hardworking person, most prepared person on all the films for To All the Boys. And she works so hard [on XO, Kitty]. She deserves it all.”
With Peter and Margot making their way to South Korea, fans are now speculating: Could Lara Jean be next?
Will Lana Condor Be in ‘XO, Kitty’?
While there’s no official word on a Season 3 (yet), there’s reason to hope. In a recent TVLine interview, XO, Kitty showrunner Jessica O’Toole hinted at the possibility of a Lara Jean cameo.
“Having Margot come back was a wonderful thing to get to do for the end of that family story,” Jessica explained. “[Lana’s return] would be a wonderful opportunity, if we can make that happen.”
What Does Lana Condor Say?
Lana is open to returning! Speaking with ScreenRant, she shared her love for the franchise.
“I would definitely never say no [to appearing in XO, Kitty],” Lana said. “I mean, I think it’s pretty clear that I love the *To All the Boys* world and have dedicated a lot of my young adulthood to it. To me, that world feels like home.”
So, could a Covey sister reunion be on the horizon? Only time will tell!
