Yellowstone has had us all gripped since 2018, with its heady mix of Kevin Costner, drama and dreamy Big Sky country locations.
But fans of the Western series may not realise that you can actually visit many of the places featured. From the Dutton ranch to the Broken Rock Indian Reservation, many of the spots in the hit Paramount+ show do exist, and some are open to visitors.
Yellowstone was primarily filmed in Utah to start with, but in 2020 it was announced it was moving to Montana, so locations for the show are scattered through both States. After the latest crop of episodes dropped at the weekend (November 10), we have a look at some of the places where the drama is filmed.
Utah locations
Ogden
There's a lot to be seen in Ogden, Utah, where fans can find the Schwartz & Meyer building (2505 Lincoln Avenue) and see 25th Street, where there are restaurants and art galleries sighted in the show. The ski destination is also home to the country music bar The Outlaw Saloon.
Spanish Fork
Not far off are the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds, which is where rodeo scenes were shot.
Park City
Meanwhile, Dan Jenkins' (Danny Huston) lodge in Montana was actually Nicklaus Clubhouse at Promontory Point in Park City.
Montana locations
Chief Joseph Ranch
The Dutton family's sweeping ranch has become a star of the show in its own right, and it turns out it isn't a set but a real working cattle ranch. The property is actually the Chief Joseph Ranch near Darby, Montana, which is nestled in the foothills of Bitterroot Valley.
The ranch does have rental cabins, and those not lucky enough to secure a stay are allowed to take photos outside of the ranch. A message on its website says: "We welcome the large number of Yellowstone fans who stop at our gates to take photos of the Dutton Ranch sign. Please be courteous and do not block the driveway. During filming, there will be security at the gates. The Security company will not allow photos at that time due to the need to keep the drive open for cast and crew."
Crow India Reservation
Broken Rock Reservation is a big part of the show, and in real life the area is an Indian reservation called the Crow Reservation. It is the homeland of the Crow tribe and is the biggest Indian reservation in Montana.
Missoula
Missoula should definitely be on the list of places for a Yellowstone fan to visit, as it has hosted a lot of big moments.
When Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) met Carter (Finn Little) outside of a hospital, that was actually the Missoula Community Medical Center.
The Free Earth protest at the Montana Livestock Association in the episode entitled Under a Blanket of Red was actually filmed at Railroad and Woody Street in the city.
Missoula's Ryman Street has been shut down for filming on some occasions and diner Ruby's Cafe - where a sheriff was killed in one tense scene - now sees a lot of fan traffic. Scripps News quoted owner Brenda Hallas as saying in 2022: "There's a lot of people that they're always asking. They're always questioning, taking pictures."
Hamilton
In Hamilton, viewers can go and see the governor's house. The Victorian manor is a place of historical interest called the Daly Mansion, which people can visit. The stunning property is also popular as a wedding venue.
Texas
A few scenes have also been filmed in Texas too.
In Season 4 a real cafe in Weatherford, Texas, was featured in an episode. Excited staff at Mary's Brazos Cafe posted on Facebook after shooting: "Sooo...This happened today:) Yellowstone was at the cafe for a scene shoot. They were a very hard working and very sweet crew... it was a very exciting day for us all!"
