Google has finally rolled out its Gemini app for iPhone users, which is available on the App Store. Now, instead of using Gemini through workarounds, you can use the Gemini AI assistant app directly on your iPhone for free.
Google states, “iPhone users can now experience Gemini in a whole new way with our dedicated mobile app. In addition to using Gemini through the Google app on iOS or a web browser, iPhone users can enjoy a more streamlined Gemini experience, with easy access to features that help improve learning, creativity, and productivity.”
With the Gemini app on your iPhone, you can ask any question and get answers. You can also do a plethora of other things, such as:
Talk to Gemini Live
Gemini Live is now available on the Gemini app for iPhone. Talk to Gemini conversationally – you can interrupt, ask questions, change the topic, and even express emotions. Simply talk to it like another human being! This feature helps prepare for interviews, get answers to your questions more naturally, or just have a chat when you’re bored.
You can choose from 10 different voices for Gemini. Plus, Gemini Live on iPhones is available in over 10 languages, with more coming soon.
Generate Images
With Google’s Imagen 3 image generation model, you can quickly transform text prompts into AI images. For example, try “generate an image of a cat dancing on the moon” or “create an airplane on top of New York.”
Image generation is fast and accurate, with highly detailed results. You can even give follow-up prompts like “change the cat’s color to white,” and Gemini will adjust the image accordingly.
Access Google Apps in Gemini
If you’re deeply integrated into the Google ecosystem—using Gmail for emails, watching YouTube, listening to music on YouTube Music, or working with Google Docs and Sheets—this feature is for you. With Google Extensions, you can connect to everyday apps like YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, Calendar, and more, and get information from them within seconds.
For example, ask Gemini to “show me my upcoming flights from Gmail,” “tell me what’s on my YouTube watch later list,” or “summarize my emails from my boss this week.”
Study with Gemini
Gemini makes it easier for you to learn about different things. Ask questions about various subjects and get tailored study plans. It adapts to your learning style and provides step-by-step guidance. Gemini can also create tests or quizzes. For example, you can give it a complex book or a diagram and ask it to generate a quiz for you.
While the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 series already include initial Apple Intelligence features, such as ChatGPT integration, the availability of the Gemini app on the App Store offers an additional option for users of all iPhone models. This gives users a choice between Gemini and ChatGPT, allowing them to decide which app best suits their needs.
