Nigerian artist, 2Baba, recently made a shocking announcement about his wife Annie Macaulay-Idibia. It’s been less than two weeks after the season three premiere of ‘Young, Famous & African. As of this week, though, 2Baba doubled down on plans to ger divorced. Since annoucing the life update, some of the stars of the Netflix hit show have showed their support for Annie.

2Baba Clears The Air After Post Claims His Account Was Hacked

The Nigerian musician first shared that he and Annie Macaulay-Idibia are ending their marriage in an Instagram feed post this week. It has since been deleted, but in the paragraph 2Baba shared that he and Annie have BEEN separated “for a while now.” He didn’t specify how long, though. However, he did say he had “currently filed for divorce” and that a press release explaining what happened will go out soon. Why the release? Here’s what 2Baba said:

“…Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense. Stay blessed my people. I love you all.”

That statement was later removed, and an IG Stories post claimed someone hacked the account, and they were trying to “take back control.” That message was also removed, and 2Baba doubled down on the divorce news in a video. He denied that he was hacked, and owned up to posting the first annoucment.

Annie has yet to respond publicly to 2Baba’s annoucement. Her most recent IG post is from January 13 — a season three teaser of the African Netflix reality show.

Her post a few days before that, on the 7th, highlighted birthday plans her daughter Olivia requested from BOTH her parents. Again, the caption was not giving divorce energy!

“Its was our Superstar Birthday n she just turned 11. When daddy n I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday…. she could’ve asked for anything but my baby asked for us for an opportunity to celebrate her birthday party with children who aren’t PRIVILEGED,” Annie wrote.

‘YFA’ Cast Publicly Show Annie Love After 2Baba’s Annoucement

For clarity, in earlier seasons of ‘Young, Famous & African,’ there were a few spicy moments where the cast questioned 2Baba’s love for Annie. But, season three only featured him on phone calls with his wife. By the last episode, there was no indication of a pending divorce. Rolling film never showed his reactions to the continued slick jabs from the cast, like Zari Hassan (a.k.a. The Boss Lady), about the infidelity rumors surrounding the marriage over the years.

But this week, the Netflix stars, showed up for Annie via social media. Even Zari, who wrote “AFRICA loves you baby girl @annieidibia1” in the caption of a photo of her and Annie smiling.

DJ Naked, a.k.a Quinton, wrote in the comment section, “We love you Annie.” Meanwhile, his fiancée Kayleugh Schwark showed her support on IGS, writing “It’s all love” in response to a creator who praised her and other cast members for showing Annie grace amid the 2Baba news.

Khanyi Mbau Metanoia, who barely appeared in season three, reshared photos of Annie to IGS with the caption, “We got you Raz.”

Luis Munana shared a funny video with Annie, and a red heart emoticon in his caption.
