"I couldn't be more grateful for the people around me that pushed me this year to be a better version of myself," he wrote in the caption. "I owe everything to all my friends and especially Ilya who has literally changed my life. I love ya dude. I don't feel like pudding anymore!!!!"

In a separate Instagram video, which was also posted on TikTok, Dobrik can be seen smiling ear-to-ear after viewing what his body used to look like, then flexing his newly acquired muscles.

According to Dobrik's YouTube video, he lowered his body fat from 27.8 percent to 13.1 percent and gained 10.5 pounds of muscle in the process. Appearing in the video are several celebrity guests, including actor Josh Peck and fellow media personality MrBeast. In fact, Dobrik's fitness journey began thanks to a bet that MrBeast made with him.

"We bet — like this is at the start of the year — that if he didn't get jacked, he would have to buy 20,000 Feastable bars," MrBeast said in the video.

Dobrik's absence from YouTube is due to a 2022 controversy he had with ex-vlog Squad member Jeff Wittek, who sued Dobrik for $10 million after a wild excavator stunt the two filmed together in 2020 left Wittek with near-fatal injuries. In a 2023 episode of his Jeff FM podcast, Wittek revealed that he had cut Dobrik out of his life, and irately claimed that his former friend had not checked on him after the horrific accident.

"I woke up from surgery. A day goes by, no text for him. Another day goes by, no text," Wittek stated. "I look at his Instagram because it's the first one that always f—ing pops up because the algorithm or whatever. It's just him like, 'Oh, I'm so happy with my life right now. My vlogs and everything,' just promoting his vlog," he continued. "I was just like, you got time to do this but you can't text me and be like, 'Hey, did you go blind or not from my actions?'"

The lawsuit between Dobrik and Wittek has yet to be settled.
