Zach Bryan had a reputation for being an “a–hole” in music circles before his scandal surrounding his ex, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, blew up, sources tell Page Six.
A high-level music pro who allegedly toured with the superstar, 28, says Bryan’s reputation wasn’t great among his colleagues.
“He is a horrible person,” the insider told industry pals. “He’s so mean to everybody on his team. He’s just kind of an a–hole.”
Another industry pro tells us, “Nashville is a male bro-dominated town, women are ‘the tomatoes in the salad’ according to one former music label boss.” But, “they get away with everything, there is no accountability.”
Our source said of Bryan and his booming career. “He’s playing Hyde Park in London… he makes so much money, it’s crazy.
LaPaglia has claimed that Bryan offered her $12 million after he dumped her if she signed a non-disclosure agreement not to talk about their relationship.
Bryan’s wrapping up his “Quittin’ Time” tour in December, and has said he’ll next pause touring to pursue a master’s degree in Paris.
He’s scheduled to play the London show in Hyde Park on June 28.
He released a new song, “High Road,” on Friday. In the new track, he sings, “Everyone is tellin’ me that I need help or therapy / But all I need is to be left alone.”
Barstool Sports podcaster LaPaglia shared on her show of her breakup with Bryan, “After everything was done, I was approached by [Bryan’s] team and I was offered a lot of money, a big lump sum of money and a few options.”
LaPaglia, 25, claimed she would’ve received “the money over the course of three years” in exchange for not publicly discussing her experiences with the “High Road” singer.
But she said that, “I did not accept any money. I will not accept any money. I think it’s beneath me. I think that it’s f–ked up,” LaPaglia continued.
Bryan’s other exes have signed non-disclosure agreements, according to LaPaglia. She dated Bryan for a little over a year before their breakup last month.
One of the singer’s other exes, Deb Peifer, posted a TikTok clip of herself drinking some wine after LaPaglia’s allegations came to light accusing the country singer of emotional abuse.
Page Six broke the news of Bryan’s split from LaPaglia last month.

The podcaster claimed on her show, “BFFs,” on Thursday that the Grammy winner subjected her to a “constant cycle” of alleged abuse, and detailed a string of incidents including he “didn’t like” it when she wore a sheer dress to the Golden Globes or “freaked the f–k out” when she sang a song by another country artist, Morgan Wallen, in his home.
The musician has yet to publicly respond to the influencer’s claims, but he reposted a cryptic quote by “On the Road” author Jack Kerouac on his Instagram Story later Thursday.
“I didn’t know what to say. I felt like crying, Goddammit everybody in the world wants an explanation for your acts and for your very being,” the passage read.
