Let’s face it, no one likes getting shows canceled. We get attached to the characters, engrossed in the storyline, and right when we’re on the edge of our seats, we get the dreaded Twitter notification that one of our favorite shows got unexpectedly canceled. We’ve seen it happen with Netflix and even Hulu in the past few months, but one streaming platform we never expected to cancel shows has recently broken our hearts. Apple TV+ has gotten us hooked onto some amazing shows like The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, and Dickinson, to name a few.

We binge Apple TV+ a lot (and have gotten our buddies into it after we told them about the little-known free trial going on). But sadly, even some of our favorite shows can’t be saved.

It’s never fun when a show gets canceled. But once the sting goes away, load up your Apple TV+ accounts and dive back into the great shows.

For now, let’s see which Apple TV+ shows have sadly gotten axed after two seasons or less below:

‘Time Bandits’

Starring Lisa Kudrow, Time Bandits is an adventure fantasy that follows a boy named Kevin who goes on a mission to save his family, but with the help of a group of thieves. Despite fans loving it, and the 1981 film it was based off of, it was cancelled after one season, allegedly due to low viewership.
‘Still Up’

Still Up is a slice-of-life comedy that follows two people: a free-spirited, aspiring illustrator and an anxious journalist who stay up at night talking. It was cancelled after one season.
‘The Big Door Prize’

The Big Door Prize is a wild ride that follows a group of people in a small town discovering that there is a magical, destiny-predicting machine in their grocery store. It was cancelled after two seasons.
‘Constellation’

Constellation was about a woman who returned from space to find the hidden secrets of space travel. Despite an amazing cast, it was canceled after one season due to unknown reasons, per Deadline.
‘Schmigadoon’

The beloved musical comedy Schmigadoon has sadly been cancelled after two seasons, despite the writers fully preparing for season three and high reviews. Creator Cinco Paul confirmed the news in early 2024, per UsMagazine.
‘The Afterparty’

Starring Tiffany Haddish, The Afterparty follows a detective trying to solve the murder that took place during hr high school reunion. The murder mystery comedy series was canceled after two seasons, but per Deadline via MSN, the creators are shopping for a new platform.
‘The Mosquito Coast’

Starring Justin Theroux and Melissa George (loosely adapted from the 1986 film), The Mosquito Coast follows a man who uproots his family to Latin America and tries to evade the US government. Sadly, it was canceled after two seasons due to a lack of viewership.
‘High Desert’

High Desert follows Peggy, a former addict-turned-private-investigator, as she tries to solve mysteries in her hometown. Just ten days after the finale aired, Apple TV+ revealed it wouldn’t continue for a second season.
‘Dear Edward’

Dear Edward follows the life of a boy who’s the sole survivor of a plane crash. Specifically, it follows his life with his aunt, and how he forms friendships with those who share his grief. Sadly, it was canceled after one season, despite leaving devoted fans on a cliffhanger.
‘City on Fire’

After an NYU student is shot in Central Park, a group of students embark on a city-wide mystery in City on Fire. It was one of the most recent shows to be canceled, and it was reportedly because of lackluster views and reviews.
‘Suspicion’

Suspicion follows a group of people who were identified in the kidnapping of a media mogul’s son, but they claim they are innocent. While it was ordered in 2020, it was delayed to start in 2021, and soon after the first season was released, it was canceled.
‘Shantaram’

Shantaram follows an Australian convict who fled to India, and learns to restart his criminal acts in India’s notorious underworld crime scene. It was eventually canceled after one season due to a multitude of factors like delays from the COVID-19 pandemic, the typhoons, and later, being unable to generate enough buzz.
‘Mr. Corman’

Starring and directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mr. Corman followed the life of a teacher in San Fernando Valley, and it was sadly canceled after one season due to low views.
‘Little Voice’

Created by Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson, Little Voice was all about finding one’s voice in their twenties, including through song. Like many others, it was canceled due to low views.
