As 2024 draws to a close, it's time to look ahead to the exciting new releases 2025 has in store. Apple TV has already announced several upcoming titles, including two new series, Prime Target and Krank Berlin, and the highly anticipated second season of Severance, set to premiere in January.

Here's the lowdown on what's coming up....

Severance

Release Date: January 17 (Season 2).

The sci-fi thriller Severance, created by Dan Erickson and executive produced by Ben Stiller, returns for its second season on Apple TV on January 17. The official synopsis reads: "Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives.

Prime Target

Prime Target is set to hit Apple TV in late January

A brand new series, Prime Target, is set to hit Apple TV in late January. The plot centres around a young maths postgraduate, Edward Brooks (Leo Woodall), who is on the brink of a significant discovery.

However, his success in finding a pattern in prime numbers is met with challenges as an unseen adversary attempts to sabotage his idea before it even gets off the ground. This leads Edward to cross paths with Taylah Sanders (Quintessa Swindell), a female NSA agent assigned to monitor and report on mathematicians' behaviour.

Together, Edward and Taylah work to untangle the complex conspiracy at the heart of Edward's predicament.

Krank Berlin

Krank Berlin is slated for release on Apple TV in Spring 2025.

While an official release date is yet to be announced, the new eight-part medical drama Krank Berlin is slated for release on Apple TV in Spring 2025. The series, crafted by former doctor-turned-screenwriter Samuel Jefferson and Viktor Jakovleski, features Haley Louise Jones, Slavko Popadic, Safak Sengul, Aram Tafreshian, Samirah Breuer, Bernhard Schutz and Peter Lohmeyer.

The released synopsis shares: "Managing a chaotic emergency room in the toughest and most overcrowded hospital in Berlin is no small task for the young Dr. Parker, who is seeking a fresh start in the big city after her private life implodes in Munich. When she tries to implement necessary reforms, Parker is confronted with resistance from the underpaid, ill-equipped and chronically fatigued hospital staff who only survive with an indispensable dose of black humor."

"But in the face of an increasingly merciless healthcare system, the battered team must put aside their differences and pull together to save lives."
