Michael Villella, star of the original Slumber Party Massacre movie, has died aged 84.
His death has been reported by TMZ, with the actor's daughter Chloe Villella sharing a post on Facebook.
"May you rest in peace daddy," she wrote in the post, sharing a photo of her father next to a candle on her kitchen counter.

Friend Lora Schlesinger also shared the news on Facebook.
"Michael Villella passed away peacefully today at Cedars Sinai Hospice with his daughter, Chloe, by his side," she wrote.
"He will be missed by all his many friends that knew him. He was the best hair stylist I have ever known."

"He has credits as a writer and actor & had a cult following for a film he was in a number of years ago. RIP dear Michael," she concluded.
Villella is best known for his role as Russ Thorn from the 1982 horror flick, also starring Michelle Michaels and Robin Stille.
He also starred in Love Letters, Wild Orchid II and Gotham.

Fans have taken to X to share their sentiments following his passing.
"His contribution to the horror genre has always been woefully underrated," one wrote. "RIP Michael Villella."
Another shared an encounter with Villella. "I went to a convention in 2014 and was so excited to meet Michael Villella. He was selling prints our design from 2005."
"He signed one for me for free lol. He was wearing the exact same outfit he wore in this film," they wrote.
"One of my absolute favourite slasher movies," another said. "And he portrayed a terrific, underrated villain. RIP."
Villella's representative told TMZ the actor died of natural causes. The actor lived in Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles, at the time of his death.
In addition to his film career, Villella also starred on stage including the Broadway production of the musical Aida.
