Since November 2022, Adele has moved fans from all over the world with her Las Vegas residency. But as her show hit the two-year mark, the singer said her final goodbye on Saturday, Nov. 23.
“I hope that you have liked having me as much as I have liked being here,” Adele told the crowd at Caesars Palace, per Deadline. “To everyone at Caesars, you’ve been amazing and so patient with me, so incredible. To Live Nation. To my son.”
As a reminder, the “Hello” singer is a proud mom to her 12-year-old son Angelo, which she shares with Simon Konecki. Angelo was in attendance on Saturday, and Adele got emotional just speaking of him.

“I chose to do a residency, maybe because I f— hate touring,” the Brit continued. “But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal, and I did do that. I wouldn’t change it for the world, but I get to be with him on the weekends now because obviously, he can’t always come.”
“So, I love you to bits, Peanut, thank you for being patient with me, as well,” Adele told her son.
She then took a minute to thank her fiancé, sports agent Rich Paul. “Thank you for always picking me up and making me feel like I could do whatever I want to do,” she said. “There’s been times when I’m too tired or too emotionally drained, and you’re like, ‘Come on, baby. Get up there, you’re the best to do it.’ And things like that. So, I appreciate that, I still need to be treated like a baby panda.”
Adele’s speech also included a nod to a special moment she recently shared. “I am emotional, but just so you know, I got closure when Celine Dion came to my show a few weeks ago,” she joked. “I cried for a whole week. It was just such a full-circle moment for me because that’s the only reason I ever wanted to even be in here.”
“But it’s been wonderful, and I will miss it terribly, and I will miss you terribly,” she continued as she wiped away tears. “I don’t know when I next want to perform again, and I’m not doing anything else. I’m actually s— myself about what I am gonna do, what I’ve got. I don’t have any f— plans.”
Luckily, she clarified her step back from singing isn’t permanent. “Of course, I’ll be back,” she said. “The only thing I’m good at is singing and things like that. I just don’t know when I want to next come onstage, but I love you.”
This isn’t the first time Adele’s talked about taking a major break from the stage. “I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break,” she told the crowd in Munich in September.
While fans might be sad to not see her again anytime soon, we’re happy for her for taking a much-deserved hiatus. May it be everything she needs!
