Adele has revealed she’s a ‘bit deaf’ in one ear after an agonising infection.

The singer, 36, told fans that she was suffering from pain ‘worse than childbirth’ after contracting a rare water bacteria while she was in Munich in August for a ten-day residency.

Talking about her health battle on stage in Las Vegas on Friday, the Hello hitmaker explained: ‘I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim.

‘I’ve never had one before. It’s the most painful thing that’s ever, ever happened to me.

‘It was worse than childbirth. It’s a rare water bacteria. It’s very hard to treat.’

According to The Sun, Adele was left wanting to ‘chop [her] ear off’ after being prescribed the wrong antibiotics.

She went on: ‘I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they managed to give me one that started to work.

‘I wanted to chop my ear off a few times.

‘I’m no longer in pain, which is great but I’m a bit deaf in my left ear!’

This isn’t the first time Adele has been open about some health battles she’s faced, after revealing a particularly uncomfortable infection in 2013.

The Grammy award-winning singer admitted performing under the hot lights at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace left her with an unpleasant fungal skin condition of the groin, which affects the upper thighs, buttocks and lower abdomen.

‘It is a bit crude but I never knew it existed,’ she admitted. ‘Obviously when I do my shows I wear Spanx and keep it all in and make it all fit me.

‘And I sweat a lot and it doesn’t go anywhere. So basically I just sit in my own sweat.’

Adele’s latest comments to her fans came hours before she broke down sobbing after spotting Celine Dion in the audience.

Rushing to the My Heart Will Go On icon, Adele put out her arms for a hug with her shoulders visibly shaking as she tried to hold it together.

Adele, who proudly previously shared that her most ‘prized possession’ was a framed piece of used chewing gum belonging to Celine, could be seen telling her how much she meant to her in the heart-warming moment.
