AirTag’s worst feature gets fixed forever by this new add-on accessory

Apple’s AirTag is a fantastic product with a lot of helpful use cases. Its greatest flaw, though, is battery life. Fortunately, there’s a new accessory that makes your AirTag battery last much, much longer.

TimeCapsule gives AirTag 10 years of battery life

Elevation Lab has just introduced a new add-on accessory for Apple’s AirTag.

The accessory is called TimeCapsule, and it aims to eliminate AirTag battery anxiety.

How? By giving your AirTag a massive 10-year battery life.

Here’s the origin story:

My camera bag with $10k of gear was stolen from my car. When I saw the broken glass and empty backseat, I immediately pulled up FindMy to track the thief – only to find that its last location was my office 3 months ago… because I hadn’t changed the AirTag’s battery.

It was a terrible feeling on top of a worse one.

That is why we designed TimeCapsule – it gives you a whopping decade of power so you don’t have to remember to replace the battery annually. It’s especially nice for folks like us with a lot of AirTags to manage.

You place your AirTag inside of TimeCapsule, along with a pair of AA batteries (Energizer Ultimate Lithium are recommended), and your AirTag will be powered for the next decade.

Elevation Lab seems to have gone all out with building a durable product. TimeCapsule is fully waterproof, and fits discreetly into your luggage or wherever else you keep an AirTag.

The only drawback is the extra bulk it adds, so it may not be ideal for certain small items you want to keep track of.

That said, I’m eager to get my hands on one and eliminate the AirTag’s worst feature: its poor battery life.
