The 29-year-old singer's rugby star partner Joe Marchant popped the question in Paris. A thrilled Hollie took to Instagram to share her happy news and show off her huge diamond ring as they posed in front of the Eiffel Tower.

She captioned the sweet post: 'BEST DAY EVER!! (ring emoji) Got to say yes to my favourite person (heart emoji)". Hollie's friends and family rushed to send their congratulations - including her famous dad.

Alan replied with a string of heart eye emojis and clapping hands emojis to share his joy. Hollie also took to her Instagram Stories to show the pair celebrating with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, with a sliced baguette and a candle.

Hollie and Joe have been dating since January 2022. Joe is a professional rugby player, who played centre for England and was a key. part in Steve Borthwick's national side as they finished third at last year's World Cup. He moved from the Harlequins in December 2022 to join Top 14 side Stade Français, who are based in Paris, where he now lives with Hollie.

Hollie is no stranger to the sporting life, with her dad being one of the most famous in recent premiere league history - having played for England and holding the record for most goals scored in the Premier League's history.

When previously asked about his daughter's romance with Joe, he quipped: 'I’m just glad it’s not a footballer.'

Hollie is Alan's middle child with his wife Lainya, with the couple also sharing daughter Chloe, 31, and son Will, 23.
