A number of celebrities have discussed leaving the USA if Donald Trump were to become president (again).

People all over the world have been sharing their heartbreak after it was announced that convicted felon and reality star Trump won the US election to become the President of the United States. In the run-up to the elections, many stars - including Cardi B, Lili Reinhart and Christina Applegate - hit out at Trump supporters for their beliefs.

"Please unfollow me if you voted against female rights. Against disability rights. Yeah that. Unfollow me because what you did is unreal. Don’t want followers like this," Christina said on X (Twitter). She also said: "I apologize. I’m still reeling and sobbing. But I’m not angry anymore."

And now, it has been said that Ugly Betty and Barbie icon America Ferrera has been looking to move to the UK and is 'sick' that Trump has become President again. "America is sick that Donald Trump is President again," an insider claimed. "She is devastated that Kamala lost. She thought the country she lived in was better than that."

The source claimed to MailOnline that she still plans to work in Hollywood. The Mirror have reached out to her reps for comment. Many other stars discussed leaving the US, including Minnie Driver, who told The Times of London in July that she came back to the UK after almost 30 years of living in Los Angeles.

She said over the summer that she would find it difficult returning to the US if Trump was re-elected. "If I lived in a red [Republican] state, no, I couldn’t [return]. But living in California, you are somewhat insulated," she explained. "But do you want to go and live in a bubble? Do you run away from the fire or do you go back and help?"

Whoopi Goldberg once said she would leave if Trump became president for the first time. She said on The View in 2016: "He's the president. I'm still not going to say his name - that's not going to change." During his first presidential campaign, she said on the show: "Maybe it's time for me to move, you know. I can afford to go."

Although she later clarified she had no intention of leaving the country, Trump shared a meme of her and said online: "Canada doesn't want you Whoopi, NOBODY DOES!!!" In 2023, Cher told The Guardian that she dealt with health issues because of his first presidency term and said she was determined to leave the country if 'he gets in'.

She said: "I almost got an ulcer the last time. If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave." Just last month, Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner explained the real reason she returned to the UK after her split from Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas.

She told Harper's Bazaar magazine: "Every city we ended up in, the first thing I’d do was find a British shop and stock up on a month’s worth of chocolate." And reflecting on the politics in America, she added: "The gun violence, Roe v Wade being overturned … everything just kind of piled on. I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England. I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family."
