Amanda Holden and her Heart co-stars were a sight to behold in their spine-chilling Halloween costumes.

The 53 year old was accompanied by her breakfast show colleagues Ashley Roberts and Jason 'JK' King as they morphed into eerie characters from the legendary 1988 film Beetlejuice.

The Tim Burton masterpiece, featuring Michael Keaton as the titular demon, has been revitalised following the release of the much-anticipated sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, last month.

Amanda and her fellow hosts have a yearly ritual of donning costumes on the Friday before Halloween, and this year, they certainly lived up to expectations. The mother-of-two channelled Lydia Deetz, sporting seductive red fishnet tights and a chic black wig in tribute to Winona Ryder's memorable teenage lead.

JK embodied the infamous demon Beetlejuice, looking striking in his striped suit and green hair, topped off with ghastly face makeup.

However, it was Ashley Roberts' transformation that left many fans gobsmacked. She portrayed the character Miss Argentina, who in the original film took her own life after missing out on the Miss World title and served at the reception in the afterlife, welcoming the recently deceased, reports the Mirror.

Her entire body was painted blue, and she sported a vibrant red wig and matching dress, while her makeup gave the impression she had been dead for decades.

"Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!" enthused Amanda as she captioned the Instagram post showcasing her latest Halloween ensemble, to the sheer amazement of her fans.

"This year you have really gone all out! Definitely one of the best!" exclaimed one follower, while another proclaimed: "This is epic!".

Curiosity was aflame among admirers eager to discover just how early Amanda, JK, and Ashley reported to the Heart studios to get their transformative makeup done.

Meanwhile, others held a celebration in words for their striking transformations with remarks like "Happy Halloween looks insanely good," and "Ashley looks EXACTLY like the original actress."

However, there was a noticeable absence at the Halloween Heart Breakfast event this year: Amanda's cherished co-host Jamie Theakston found himself away from the festivities, recuperating at home in the wake of his startling cancer revelation in September.

Just a year prior, Jamie had brought Shaggy from Scooby Doo to life, with Amanda and Ashley embodying Velma and Daphne respectively.

This Friday saw JK stepping into the shoes of the sidelined host, who has pledged a swift return to the airwaves.

At 53 years old, Jamie received news of his stage 1 laryngeal cancer diagnosis since September after vigilant Heart listeners detected an alteration in his vocal tones.

As he engages with ongoing treatment, a heartfelt message of love and support was broadcasted by Amanda, echoing the sentiments of many, following the announcement of his fight against cancer.

The presenter revealed: "He has told us that we have got to hold the fort and he has told us that the show must go on and absolutely that's what we're going to do," she told listeners. We're going to do him proud.

Him and Sophie and the boys, they're listening at home and I know after this announcement all of those listening are going to be sending your best wishes to our King.
