Amanda Owen has delivered fans an autumn update from Ravenseat Farm, featuring photographs of herself and her children. The new carousel of images has sparked discourse among her followers, with many remarking how “fast” the Yorkshire Shepherdess’ family seems to be ageing.
The Owen clan have amassed a cult-like following since making their television debut in ITV’s The Dales. The 2011 programme saw Amanda, 50, and her now-estranged husband Clive Owen, 67, appearing as regulars alongside their five children.
Since then, the pair have added four more children to their brood while starring in their own Channel 5 series, Our Yorkshire Farm, and subsequent spin-off, Our Farm Next Door. Ahead of the fourth instalment of Our Farm Next Door airing on Channel 4, the Owen family matriarch has shared a series of images on Instagram.
The pictures depict a handful of her children, including Edith, Clemmie and Nancy, playing in a tree, chatting while wearing matching muddy Wellington boots and taking a selfie with their mum in a car. Older children Reuben, Ravan, and Miles are also tagged in the post, while a fourth slide shows a contractor helping with Aunty Johns's renovations.
Discussing the images, one Instagram user wrote: “Wow Edith is sooooo grown up.” A second typed: “Can't believe how grown up Nancy and Clemi are becoming so beautiful like the rest of the family.”
“Loved the interview with you and the youngest 3 girls on BBC Breakfast the other day,” remarked someone else. “The girls are a credit to you. Very impressed.”
“Wow they grew up so fast you are so cute,” echoed another user, while a fifth said: “We love the show all grown up now. Are you going to live in the new house, take care Robert and Eithna.”
Earlier this week, Amanda appeared on an episode of BBC Breakfast to discuss her family’s recent renovation project.
While chatting with her daughters Annas, Clementine and Nancy, the mum-of-nine said: “We've got our work cut out, haven't we girls? But we are getting there, and we love a challenge.”
However, she admitted to BBC Breakfast hosts Nina Warhurst and Roger Johnson that transforming the dilapidated building - a property purchased by Amanda and Clive before they split in 2022 - has been made very difficult, thanks to the adverse weather conditions in Yorkshire.
“It has been very difficult with the Yorkshire weather coming at us, and things have gone slower than we wished for,” she explained.
Our Farm Next Door: Amanda Clive and Kids is set to return to More4 next Monday at 9pm.
