A mum has taken to social media to warn others about a mistake she noticed on a Home Bargains product. TikTok user Flavia Mendes (@Flaviamendes.x) showed a Christmas-themed basket of goodies she had prepared for her child, which included soft toys and books as well as the 'offending' item.
The item is a glass drinks bottle with a festive character design on the front, available in Home Bargains stores. There is a green and red version up for grabs.
The green-coloured elf glass has the words "I'm on the nice list" on the front, without any spelling mistakes. But, the red Santa Claus option should read 'Jingle All the Way', however the word jingle is misspelt 'Jinlge'.
Flavia shared the video on TikTok in a bid to stop others making the same mistake she had as she hadn't realised the typo when buying it. One person replied in the comment section: "Oh no", and another added: "It took me a few watches as well!"
Flavia wrote as a caption to her video: "Jinlge all the way, I guess! Took me a while to even notice this!" The same set of cups are available as a pair on Amazon for £9.90, and feature the same error.
This isn't the first festive item to fall foul of a mistake this Christmas at Home Bargains. Shoppers noticed something wasn't quite right with a metal sign being sold for £3 at the discount store last month.
The Winter Charm Metal Standing Street Sign featured directions to Santa's Workshop and the Elves Village. However, the issue was the glaring mistake with the biggest part of the North Pole sign missing a letter - and it actually read: "Welcome to th North Pole".
Amazon and Home Bargains were approached for comment. Home Bargains did not wish to issue a statement and Amazon did not immediately respond.
