An American singer has been left fighting for her life after being shot in the chest at an autograph signing, following her concert.
Jada Arnell Thomas, who is only 26, was allegedly shot by Micah Williams, a fellow singer, who had reportedly been among fans, as an unsuspecting Jada signed autographs for fans. Jada was left battling near fatal wounds after she performed at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters theatre in Downtown Dallas, on November 2. But as yet, the reason behind the attack remains unknown.
The event founder and director Curtis King witnessed the attack and said: "It was a packed house, people were in line getting autographs and we heard this shot. It was unreal. It was like everything was in slow motion." And according to reports, it has been alleged that the attacker was a singer who had also performed at the same venue, ten years earlier.
Curtis added: "They said, 'Mr. King, she has performed here at the Black Academy.2 She was in a summer program 10-12 years ago'." However, according to news outlets in America, police have yet to comment on a motive for the attack or an alleged relationship between the shooter and the surviving victim.

It has been claimed that police arrested the alleged suspect Micah and found a hand gun in her bag. A few witnesses told police that they had seen the alleged suspect shoot Jada and flee from the scene, according to Fox4.
The event director continued: "I went out the door and said, 'Where did the lady go?' And they pointed in the direction where she went. I saw her through the glass doors, and so I just started running after her. He added: " She said, 'Big Papa [aka Mr. King] thank you for providing a safe space for us to be able to have a platform to perform as young artists, etc. And then five-ten minutes later here she on the floor, she’s saying, "she shot me'."
