Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie was seen sharing a tender moment with her daughter, Zahara Jolie, ahead of their red carpet appearance at Sunday's Golden Globes.
The actress was nominated for her role as Greek opera singer Maria Callas in the Netflix biopic Maria. She lost the best actress in a motion picture award to Fernanda Torres for her role in I'm Still Here, but she was all smiles as she arrived on the big night.
A video posted to X, formerly Twitter, shows Jolie and her adopted daughter arriving on the red carpet. As they walk to the photographers' area, Jolie checks in on Zahara and they exchange a smile before continuing to chat.
"Angelina Jolie arrives with her daughter Zahara to the golden globes," the post was captioned.
Fans reacted to the sweet moment in the replies of the post.
"This pair make me so happy. Their love is so genuine. Love them," wrote @gabrielapicci.
"She's truly her bestie," added @xubeauty06.
"She seems to have such great relationship with all her kids who just all seem to love and adore her, you love seeing it," commented @marghan8.
Jolie is mom to five children, including three adopted children, Pax, 21, Maddox, 23, and Zahara, 19. She is also mom to three biological children, Shiloh, 18, and twins, Vivienne and Knox, 16, with ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
The mother and daughter appearance at the Golden Globes comes just days after her lawyer confirmed her divorce negotiations with Pitt were finalized.
"This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over," attorney James Simon told People, adding the actress was focused on "finding peace and healing for their family.
The Oscar winners became romantically involved after starring together in the 2005 movie Mr and Mrs Smith, and eventually married in 2014.
But Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, and it led to a messy split. Some of their children have even filed to remove Pitt from their names.
Jolie accused Pitt of abuse against her and the children. At the time of their divorce, a large part of their estate was said to be worth $164 million, and one of their longest disputes in their divorce battle included a disagreement over their French property, Chateâu Miraval.
They bought the sprawling property, which includes a vineyard, in 2008 and it even played host to their wedding.
Newsweek previously contacted Jolie and Pitt's representatives by email for comment.
