Apple Watts is speaking out after sparking social media reactions by revealing a she was drunk during her 2022 car accident.

Here’s The “Secret” Apple Watts Revealed About Her 2022 Car Accident

On Thursday, January 23, the YouTube channel Soft White Underbelly released a 40-minute interview with the reality star. Furthermore, in clips obtained by The Shade Room, Watts explained that she would be sharing a particular detail about her accident with the channel, which she’s never revealed before.

She explained that in March 2022, she had traveled to Los Angeles, California, and “ended up getting drunk.”

“I kept this secret because I knew people would judge me,” she said, holding back tears.

Furthermore, she explained that she dropped a passenger off before continuing to drive on the day of her accident. Watts alleged that “everybody knew” she was drunk. However, her passenger and others didn’t want to get into a “confrontation” with her so they didn’t stop her.

“‘Cause one thing about me, if I’m buzzed and I feel you coming at me funny, I’m gonna go ham on you,” Watts said.

Despite this, the reality seemingly expressed anger that no one stepped in to prevent her from driving.

Apple Watts Responds To Reactions

On Friday, January 24, The Shade Room followed up with Watts, who responded to the criticism and social media users feeling as if she didn’t take accountability for her actions.

“God told me to help people so they don’t end up doing what I did. I knew people would assume and judge me, and there would be backlash when I put that out. But as long as my story is out, the first step of healing is taking accountability and accepting what happened,” she said. “And to clarify, I don’t blame anyone but me, and I’m taking the repercussions that came with the accident, and I have accepted them.”

More Details About The 2022 Car Accident Involving Apple Watts

As The Shade Room previously reported, in March 2022, Watts’ sister confirmed she had been involved in a severe car accident with a Diesel truck. At the time, Watts was reportedly driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Furthermore, during the collision, her car reportedly flipped over multiple times which ejected her from the vehicle.

Subsequently, Watts was hospitalized with a fractured skull, a broken spine, and a shattered arm. Then, in June of that year, it was reportedly that she underwent surgery on her right arm and spine, and needed to learn how to walk again, per The Shade Room.

Furthermore, that same month, Natalie Nunn shared footage of the reality star from her hospital bed.

Then, in August 2023, Watts stepped into The Shade Room to detail her recovery journey.
