Fans won’t have to wait long to watch the next sole survivor claim the $1 million prize.
Where Was ‘Survivor’ Season 48 Filmed? Location Revealed
Survivor season 48 was filmed in the Mamanuca Islands of Fiji, where the show has taken place since season 33. Before that, Survivor was filmed in locations like Nicaragua, Malaysia, Thailand, Brazil, Panama, Samoa and more.
In 2017, host Jeff Probst explained that Fiji seemed to be a perfect setting for the reality show. “Fiji offers us everything that we want,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “Incredibly beautiful water that you can see down 30 feet, beaches that are amazing, a government that is working with us, local labor that loves to say ‘Bula!’ every day because they’re just happy you’re here. And our crew has never been as happy. We actually have decent accommodations to do this show out in the jungle. It’s a win-win-win.”
“I hope we stay here forever,” he added. “This is our home, and I hope we end our show here.”
