Irish star Barry Keoghan has revealed how he handles trolls on the internet since his dramatic rise in fame.
After bursting onto the scene as a young actor on Irish TV shows, he has since found a place among Hollywood's elite thanks to epic performances in movies such as Saltburn. He has also landed himself a deal with Burberry as his stock continues to rise.
However, he admits it hasn't all been plain sailing. In a candid chat with legendary journalist Louis Theroux, Barry, 32, opened up on his past and also the vile comments he continues to receive online over his appearance.
As the pair got chatting, Louis said: "Your look is obviously distinct; you've got something about you. It feels weird even saying that, because I think commenting on someone's appearance is disrespectful."

Criticising TikTok, Barry said: "People can sit there and make videos and be like, 'I don't like his face', 'he looks weird' or 'he looks evil' and just pick you apart…I shouldn't be on the internet, but I'm a young lad who's curious and I want to know what's been said."
And he confessed others may not be as able as he is to brush off the remarks. "It's lucky I have tough skin to be honest," he added. "A movie comes out and people can just really judge you and pick you apart online sometimes it's just sad to see people like that."
Barry also opened up on his childhood and being in a number of foster homes. Despite his somewhat tough upbringing, he admitted he is not looking for "pity" from people. " I feel it's been publicised in a pity story way," he said. "You know, ‘oh God bless him, his mum passed away [from] heroin and touring foster homes,’ [I’ve] actually seen that on an article. I'm not giving out about any of that but that's not what I'm looking for either. If anything, I speak about it to let younger kids know that no matter where you come from, you can always achieve what you put your mind to and not to give up and stay persistent on it."
He said that he simply discusses his past in an effort to help others who may have been in a similar situation.
