Oti Mabuse shares 'pride' as BGT star appears in Christmas advert

Strictly Come Dancing has come under scrutiny this year after Amanda Abbington shared that her former dance partner Giovanni Pernice had allegedly "bullied" her.

Soon after it emerged Graziano Di Prima had been axed for "kicking" his partner, Love Island star Zara McDermott. Now it has been reported BBC bosses are worried that Oti Mabuse could expose more secrets when she appears on I'm A Celeb.

A Strictly source told MailOnline: "Oti was such a fixture on Strictly and her sister Motsi is still very much still part of the show.

"After the year the show has had, Oti is undoubtedly going to be asked by curious campmates around the fire what she thinks of the furore surrounding Strictly.

"She was there for years, and you never know what she is going to say. Everyone will be tuning in and hoping she doesn't say anything that will cause further trouble for the competition but the bosses are worried."

Oti, who left Strictly in 2020, shared the show's set with ex-professional Graziano and Giovanni.

The BBC has been busily investigating claims made against Giovanni by Amanda and have upheld two moments of "inappropriate behaviour of sexual banter in the workplace".

They also found that Giovanni had used "swear words" and "belittling" language while the duo were paired together.

Now, a source has claimed there is "a robust acceptance" that the dancer won’t be allowed to return "ever".

"While it’s recognised Giovanni remains popular with many Strictly viewers, there is a robust acceptance that he can’t return to the show, ever," they told The Sun.

The source continued: "His time on Strictly is over. There’s no way back for him.

"That’s not a formal punishment; that’s a decision taken at a corporate level, concerned with protecting the reputation of a huge Saturday night family show."

The BBC cleared Giovanni of physically abusive behaviour towards Amanda while upholding some of her complaints to the Corporation.

This comes as Amanda is reportedly preparing to speak to the BBC about "unanswered questions" regarding the investigation.

Bosses did offer an apology to the Mr Selfridge actress but she is said to be planning to sue.

After six months of investigating the Sherlock actress' claims after she previously branded the dancer "abusive, cruel and mean", they have finally found he was not physically abusive, but upheld some claims of verbal bullying and harassment and did issue an apology to Amanda.

Out of 17 complaints, they upheld six, some of which are for Giovanni using swear words. The report said that his language could be "belittling".
