EastEnders fans are in for a festive treat as the BBC dishes out another sizzler of a Christmas special, set to rip a Walford family to shreds.
It's no EastEnders' Christmas without the classic mix of murder, affairs, break ups and queen-sized showdowns which have become a proper tradition.
Last year's festive knees-up saw The Queen Vic turn into a crime scene when Keanu Taylor (played by Danny Walters) died at the hands of Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) after a savage stabbing.
The brutal scenes shocked millions of viewers as they watched the raging mechanic trying to throttle former wife-to-be Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). But in a split decision, Linda stuck a meat thermometer right in his back to save her friend.
Soap addicts are already buzzing about what Christmas 2024 has got in store and the BBBC's dangled a juicy carrot, revealing that the Beales are going to be front and centre of this year's explosive plot, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) has been playing away with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour), but looks like the cat will be out of the bag in a big reveal.
"Secrets and lies are set to throw a wrecking ball into the Beale family festivities this year as the shocking truth about Cindy is revealed in spectacular fashion in EastEnders on Christmas Day," the BBC confirms.
Cindy's fling with Junior kicked off earlier this year, before she called it quits after getting engaged to her ex-hubby Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt). Cindy decided to 'play it safe' and create a future with Ian and their children.
However, when David Wicks (Michael French) made a fleeting comeback to the Square, he spotted Cindy and Junior in a passionate clinch down the side of The Vic, much to his delight.
In an unexpected turn, Cindy admitted to her former flame David that she's still smitten with Junior's dad, George Knight (Colin Salmon), and fantasises about being with George when she's with Junior.
On the other hand, love-struck Junior, who was given the boot by his wife earlier this year, confessed to George that he's fallen for a woman who's already spoken for, but keeps her identity under wraps.
Junior also happens to be the half-brother to Cindy's daughters Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry).
What will happen when Cindy's latest deceit is revealed to the Beales on Christmas Day? How will the Beales and the Knights react to the shocking revelation?
