Joanna Page has let slip a huge Gavin & Stacey spoiler live on TV this morning.

The actress appeared on Morning Live alongside co-host Gethin Jones, where she chatted about the final ever episode after Ruth Jones and James Corden reunited to pen one last episode of the series, set to air this festive season.

While chatting on the show, Joanna let slip: "It is the last last ever one. It's been so emotional, just saying goodbye to everyone. You know when I read the script and I saw that my f-" before catching herself mid-sentence.

She continued with a chuckle: "You nearly got me to say something. I remember when I saw I was sitting with Ruth and she's playing the mouth organ and I'm in the rickshaw at the back. I was just like 'Aww we're back with the band.' It's definitely the last one."

Joanna went on to express her deep affection for the cast and crew, heaping praise on all those who have worked on the show. She added: "We're like family. I love them all so much. I was crying from the second day because we were saying goodbye to everyone and saying goodbye to Barry Island, goodbye to Stacey's house. It was just incredibly hard."

Despite the emotional farewell, Joanna confessed that she won't be pining for her character, as she feels Stacey is an intrinsic part of her. She explained: "I think Stacey is the closest character I've ever played to myself and people say to me 'are you going to miss her? ' and I think 'no, I'm not going to miss playing Stacey because she's here. She's in me and she'll always be there.' The thing I will miss the most is the whole of our family, that's been the best bit, but Stacey will always be here."

Joanna revealed her instant connection to her character Stacey from the iconic show, which she felt upon reading the script for the first time 17 years ago. She gushed: "I just opened the script and thought 'I know this person' and to have something where I can be Welsh and use my own voice, you feel so much closer to the character.

"I know these characters. I know where they come from and I have had these experiences. My uncle Anthony is like Uncle Bryn, Gwen is my mother, she makes the perfect omelette. I know these people and I thought I've got to get the part of Stacey."

*Morning Live airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
