Southern Charm’s Salley Carson Reveals Taylor’s Boyfriend Gaston Cheated on Her When They Dated, Plus She Dishes on Her Hookup With Shep Rose

Southern Charm newbie Salley Carson revealed her complicated history with Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green’s boyfriend Gaston. Before the season began, Salley first hinted that Gaston is her ex, and she once “slept with Shep.”

Last season, Taylor herself was dating Shep, before he broke up with her after a trip around the world. Soon after the split, Taylor found herself in a new romance with Gaston. Meanwhile, Shep started dating Sienna Evans, a former Miss Bahamas.

In episode three of the new season, Salley addressed her past hookup with Shep. “It was like two o’clock in the morning, and then he wouldn’t leave,” said Salley. “I was like, Shep, I’m getting you an Uber. Shep, like, I’m sorry … you’re just not the kind of guy I see myself with … I’m not saying I regret it or anything. But I definitely was not bragging about it.”

She then dished on her alleged history with Gaston.

“I obviously don’t have anything good to say about him,” she explained, after fellow newbie Molly shared that Taylor might bring him to a future event on the show. “But that’s my story. That might not be Taylor’s story.”

“Me and Gaston, we dated for three months,” added the star in a confessional interview. “Like, he was my person, and I thought I was his. But, like, he was cheating the whole time.”

Salley claimed she’s willing to “bond” with his new girlfriend Taylor – but prefers not to see him.

In a season 10 announcement, Salley was described as “the latest to grace Charleston’s vibrant social scene. She’s a bubbly party girl by night and a robotics technician for surgical procedures by day. The debutante is gorgeous, intelligent, and independent, and she shares a curiously parallel romantic past with Taylor.”

Salley first met Molly at Leva Bonaparte’s restaurant in Southern Hospitality, where she had a love triangle with Gaston and Joe Bradley.

“[Salley and I] both were doing like front door VIP, but she always got to leave early because she’s got this pretty legitimate job teaching surgeons how to use surgical robots,” said Molly in the episode.

In the season premiere, Taylor opened up about her relationship with Gaston, which began in 2023. “Gaston is my better half,” she gushed. “I love that he listens to me and he respects me, as like, a human and not just a pretty girl.”
