BBC Strictly Come Dancing duo handed 'free pass' through this week as fans all say same thing

BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers have expressed their frustration, accusing the show of seemingly giving a couple a "free pass" to Blackpool.

Fans across social media are making the same prediction about the star's performance on Saturday night's live show, convinced that a celeb's next dance will secure their spot in Blackpool.

TOWIE star Pete Wicks, who is also known from Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, is part of Strictly's class of 2024 and is dancing with professional partner Jowita Przystał, Birmingham Live reports.

Despite scoring low last week with just 22 points, this Saturday sees the duo perform their Couple's Choice to The Best by Nicotine Dolls.

Social media users have been vocal, with one person posting on Reddit: "Couples choice for weakest dancers. Definitely helping get Pete through."

Another chimed in: "Pete's couples choice is gonna see him sneak through again isn't it."

A third shared: "The producers have given up on trying to even keep in JB and Shayne who are probably due to face each other in the DO with Chris and Pete playing the CC card."

Meanwhile, another viewer remarked: "I think this was the best time for Pete and Chris to do their couple's choice. Both have had a couple of rough weeks now, and this could help them build back their momentum."

Additionally, another fan commented on their change of heart regarding Pete: "I'm loving Pete! He's new to me too having never watched Towie or any of the other tripe. I defo pre-judged him as a bad boy, womanizer, cocky etc.."

The former pro dancer Ola Jordan's comment that Pete was on "borrowed time" in the competition came amid an outpouring of support for his personality on the show.

An admirer commented, "But he's full of self doubt and the way he talks about his mum, Nan etc says a lot - he's a complex character but I like him a lot and I hope he does well. I think he got the perfect partner as Jowita is a sweetie."
