Strictly Come Dancing's latest episode concluded with a special moment that left the audience and judges visibly moved following Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell's stirring performance.
The competition on the BBC show was fierce this Saturday, 9 November, as each pair put their best foot forward, all hoping to secure a spot in next week's much-anticipated Blackpool round.
But it was the final act of the evening that truly captured viewers' hearts, with visually impaired comedian Chris McCausland and his dance partner Dianne Buswell presenting their Couple's Choice routine.
Opting for John Lennon's Instant Karma! (We All Shine On), the duo were a striking vision in coordinated white tuxedos and top hats.
In a powerful moment towards the end of their dance, the studio plunged into darkness while the music lingered on, symbolising Chris's experience of performing on the show each week.
Fans took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to express their overwhelming support for Chris and Dianne.
One admirer posted: "Omg #StrictlyComeDancing tears again tonight. Chris and Diane, you are simply amazing."
Another shared: "Switching the lights off in the studio so we can all know what it feels like to be the AMAZING Chris McCausland for a few seconds, that was extremely poignant and emotional."
A third viewer was moved to tears, commenting "every week I'm in tears", while another drew parallels with a past performance by deaf winner Rose Ayling-Ellis.
They remarked: "I hope Chris and Dianne get the same response as Rose and her silent moment... That blackout was incredible!"
Chris and Dianne's performance not only touched the hearts of viewers but also reached the judges, with Shirley Ballas visibly emotional as she praised him, saying he "doesn't miss a beat."
She went on to commend his bravery and dedication: "You have no fear, you come out every week with your heart on your sleeve and you give us 100% of what you're capable of and in my book, that's a winner."
The duo's efforts were rewarded with a solid score of 33 points from the judges, placing them comfortably in the middle of the leaderboard.
Now, the question on everyone's lips is whether Chris and Dianne can dodge the dreaded dance-off and glide into the next stage of the competition, which would see them heading to the iconic Blackpool Week.
Strictly Come Dancing continues every Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
