Gogglebox: Mary tries to take Giles’ radish

After landing on screens in 2013, Gogglebox has become a treasured Channel 4 programme with fans remaining intrigued to watch the armchair critics.

Among the memorable personalities are the hilarious Sophie Sandiford and her brother Pete, as well as the endearing Malone family with their adorable dogs.

The hit series also features Mary Killen and Giles Wood, who joined the Gogglebox ensemble in 2015.

Renowned for their quirky home aesthetic, incisive observations, and witty exchanges, they've been a source of entertainment for almost ten years.

In a delightful surprise for fans, the couple shared a throwback photo from the '90s on their Instagram.

The pair looked near-unrecognisable from their usual appearances on the Friday evening series.

Giles, originally from Stoke-on-Trent, was photographed casually sipping wine in a navy polo shirt and striped hat.

While Mary poses in a chic black and white heart-patterned blouse and sun hat.

The sweet photo also featured a public display of affection as they held hands while sitting next to one another, as Mary lovingly rested her other hand on Giles’ knee.

Alongside this striking throwback was the simple caption: “Giles and Mary circa 1990,”which prompted an outpouring of affectionate comments from followers.

@chalmerskarin suggested: “Love you pair...you should have a spin off show x.”

The couple first met when they were 21 years old when she was working as a model, and he was studying at Wimbledon Art School.

As well as welcoming two daughters, Giles and Mary have also been married for over 30-years.
