RTÉ approached Elaine Crowley after her appearance on celebrity Operation Transformation.
The Ireland AM presenter was one of the stars cast on the reality TV show in 2017, but she decided to remain with TV3, now Virgin Media, after they rebranded her daily panel show.

Elaine told RSVP Magazine: "I was on Operation Transformation. There were a few approaches after that but I wasn’t having any of it.
"After that, Virgin Media came to me and said “Hey Elaine, we will call your show ‘Elaine’” so it was hard to turn that down."
Elaine is very proud of her eponymous show, which was shelved by Virgin Media in August 2021, because she put so much work into it both on screen and behind the scenes.
She said: "In fairness, how many women in broadcasting in Ireland could say they executive produced their own show and had their name on it?
"No one. It’s bloody hard but it was good aul craic at the time."
Elaine has worked across breakfast, morning and afternoon television, but she would also like to present a late-night chat show, something to rival The Late Late Show on RTÉ.
She said: "Yeah but I would love to do it a little bit later, after 10.30pm. Never say never on television, I think it would be gas.
"But I do blurt out things that I shouldn’t. I think there is room for it.
"There is definitely a possibility for it. I can definitely do it without a bother. So maybe it is time for the girls to take over from the boys."
