Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane spoke to the media Thursday regarding the AFC Championship loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Beane addressed the controversial fourth down call, which he believes quarterback Josh Allen did convert, and Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy's play that was ruled a catch.
"It's frustrating. There's only so much I can say," Beane said. "We work with the league to try to get clarity and I'll give them credit. They've taken our calls, they've sent video and things like that. If you're talking about the fourth down play, I feel like he got that. I still feel like he got that, I felt that in the moment. Nothing has changed my mind on that. The play that we challenged I thought was a good challenge. I'm not sure either player had possession on the [Cole] Bishop, [Xavier] Worthy play when the ball touched the ground. You have to possession and it's like what is possession? But when the ball touches the ground, someone has to establish possession. But it is what is. Those are just like plays we didn't make, too.
"By no means are we saying those plays are why we lost the game."
