The Tampa Bay Buccaneers experienced a scary situation on Sunday when it was believed that standout safety Jordan Whitehead suffered a torn pec and would be sidelined for the rest of the 2024 season. However, a new update has indicated that the defensive back could be back in time for the playoffs.

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, "Buccaneers S Jordan Whitehead is going to miss time with a pec injury suffered Sunday, though there's a chance he could return this season, sources say. It'll depend on the healing and if TB makes a playoff run. But no surgery scheduled and not definitively out for the year."

Whitehead will not have to miss the rest of the season and will not need surgery. Should the Buccaneers make a playoff run, it is believed that Whitehead is going to be able to return in time for that. This is huge news for one of the best players on Tampa Bay's defense.
