Channing Tatum & Zoë Kravitz’s Split Was Reportedly a Long Time Coming Because of This Major Incompatibility

Not too long ago, Channing Tatum and his then-fiancée Zoë Kravitz were gushing about each other in the promo for their movie, Blink Twice. But, as the dust began to settle on the movie’s release, news broke this week that the couple, who had been dating since 2021, have gone their separate ways.

Of course, the news came as quite a shock to their fans. After all, it was hard not to swoon over their relationship on the press tour. But, according to some insiders, their split was actually a long time coming.

“Zoë is a very independent person. After her divorce, she expressed that she didn’t necessarily need to get married again,” a source told Us Weekly. Kravitz was married to ex Karl Glusman from 2019 to 2021.

“She and Channing are opposites, but they always bonded over their love for art and film, and that is what held them together,” the source continued.

Per the insiders, however, when the excitement of Blink Twice came to an end, their differences started bubbling up to the surface. “Ultimately once the project ended, they realized they were on different pages with what they wanted,” the source said. “It fizzled fast after their press tour wrapped. They realized long-term that it wasn’t going to work out.”

Most of all, it seemed the two had different ideas of what their future looked like. While the source described Tatum as a “family man” who focuses on his daughter Everly with ex Jenna Dewan, Kravitz’s main priority is “her career.”

“They were looking at the long-term bigger picture and realized they may not be a good match,” the source explained. “There is still a lot of love between them, and [the split] was amicable.” In other words, once their joint priority (Blink Twice) ended, they realized that their next chapter was completely different. While Tatum wanted to walk down the aisle and dedicate himself to his family, Kravitz wanted to put a whole new focus on her career (Blink Twice was her directorial debut after all!).

As a reminder, People broke the news of their called-off engagement on Oct. 26. “They haven’t been on the same page and grew apart,” a source told the outlet. Some things just aren’t meant to be!
