After surviving another week in the Strictly Come Dancing contest, comic Chris McCausland has stirred excitement among fans with an unexpected social media announcement.
In a story post to his Instagram followers on Monday, the Scouse comedian shared a huge piece of “breaking news”.
McCausland revealed he had launched 100 extra show dates as part of his extensive stand-up comedy tour up and down the UK.
Beginning in January, the tour dates span all the way to March 2026 and tickets range from £25 to £35.
Having previously performed shows at top comedy venues including London’s Apollo Theatre, The Comedy Store and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this latest tour will be the comedian’s biggest ever.

McCausland has been performing stand-up jokes since 2003 and has received the Creative Diversity Award for Comedy.
In 2022, He paired with Lee Mack to present the BAFTA award for female performance in a comedy programme and the duo were noted as one of the ceremony highlights.
In a post on his official website, McCausland teased that even more dates could be around the corner due to “phenomenal demand” from fans.
Many of the initial dates for the “Yonks!” tour had already sold out entirely but fans will now have a second chance to secure tickets to see the comedy star perform live.

The 47-year-old has recently taken a break from his stand up career and has instead taken to the dancefloor as a Strictly Come Dancing contestant.
But Chris's tour is reportedly proving to be a "headache" for Strictly bosses, who were desperate to get him on the yearly Strictly UK tour, but it clashes with his gig dates.
A source told Mirror: "Craig has suggested that all this year’s favourites will be there but that’s not true. How can Chris be in two places at once? As things stand, Chris can’t do it because every show on his comedy tour from January 17 clashes."
With the star adding dates rather than cutting down, this is a move sure to leave Strictly bosses disappointed.
