Christine McGuinness has spilled the beans on her festive plans with ex-hubby Paddy, revealing they'll be keeping things low-key for their three kids this Christmas.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire celeb dished out details about her Yuletide arrangements with her trio of children, Leo, Penelope and Felicity, who all have autism. She's aiming for a hushed holiday to avoid overwhelming the little ones.
Chatting with Woman's Own magazine, Christine shared: "It will be a quiet one. We always try to keep it quiet because (the children) can get quite overwhelmed with the changes.
"Christmas is something that if we do too much of, it can go wrong. Therefore, we try and keep it almost like any other day, but with presents."
When quizzed on whether Paddy would be around for the festivities, Christine confirmed: "Yes. The last thing we want to do is upset our children over Christmas, so we'll make sure we're all together.", reports Lancs Live.
Despite parting ways in 2022 after a decade-plus marriage, Paddy, famed for his BBC Radio 2 gig, is said to still share the Cheshire pad with Christine and the kids.
In a heart-to-heart with OK!, the model opened up about how she and her former flame are navigating co-parenting and hinted at future Christmases eventually being celebrated separately.
She conveys: "It's difficult going through a divorce and knowing that one day you're possibly going to have separate Christmases and houses. All of that is extremely heartbreaking, I think, for any family."
In news back in September, it was revealed Paddy and Christine avoided dragging out their split in a lengthy court battle, with Christine now dipping her toes back into the dating pool. Despite admitting she had "delayed it" and "wasn't in any rush at all", Christine shared that on her birthday, someone special came along and they began seeing each other.
Yet in another heart-to-heart, Christine opened up about how tough the co-parenting routine with Paddy is, confessing that it's expected to ramp up when they "actually have to share our children in separate houses", voicing concerns over the fact that she believes she'll "really struggle with that".
