HBO is set to conjure up a spellbinding new Harry Potter television series, inspired by J. K. Rowling's phenomenally successful novels.
The forthcoming series aims to replicate the enchanting success of the Harry Potter film franchise, which has amassed billions at the box office.
While the casting remains shrouded in mystery, whispers abound regarding the actors poised to portray the iconic characters as adults.
Amidst rampant speculation, HBO has commented: "We appreciate that such a high-profile series will draw a lot of rumour and speculation. As we make our way through pre-production, we will only confirm details as we finalise deals."
This revelation follows the astonishing news that over 32,000 hopeful young stars have submitted audition tapes for the coveted lead roles of Harry, Hermione, and Ron, reports the Mirror.
Speculation is rife about which seasoned actors are being considered for some of Hogwarts' most legendary figures.
And who might embody the dark Lord Voldemort?
Harry Potter's formidable antagonist, Lord Voldemort, was initially portrayed by Ralph Fiennes in the film series, starting from the fourth instalment.
Rumours are now circulating that Fiennes has given his blessing to Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy to assume the role.

Appearing on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Ralph said: "Cillian is a fantastic actor. That’s a wonderful suggestion. I would be all in favour of Cillian. Yeah."
He has previously stated that he would be up for the role if he was offered the opportunity to play Lord Voldemort again.
In 2022, he confessed that if J K Rowling was to approach him to play the iconic villian, there would be "no question about it."
