Daniel LaRusso, played by Ralph Macchio, and Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka have been long enemies on and off the mat. But they become allies in the official trailer for Cobra Kai‘s final episodes, which dropped on Monday.

The conclusion of season six — Part 3 — debuts on Netflix globally on Feb. 13, following the release of Part 1 and Part 2 and concluding the three-part release of the final season of the streamer’s hit series.

With one final chance to finish the Sekai Taikai after the tragic events of Part 2, the pair teams up for a final clash where it all began, in the Valley of Los Angeles, nearly 40 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. “In the beginning we were enemies,” Daniel says at one point in the trailer with a voiceover narration, as the use of old and new footage from the franchise recalls their past battles over the years, and the series.

“I guess it was inevitable, we’d end up on the same side,” Johnny then adds. As peace between Daniel, Johnny and various kids of their respective karate schools breaks out, the trailer underlines how their final clash at the Sekai Taikai will return to where the franchise began.

The final season of the Netflix karate saga, a spinoff of the Karate Kid franchise, comes from series creators Hayden Schlossberg, Josh Heald and Jon Hurwitz.

The trio are keen to continue on with their karate universe, recently telling The Hollywood Reporter about the potential for spinoffs, including a possible Mr. Miyagi prequel. “The show will end our love for The Karate Kid, but our desire to play in The Karate Kid sandbox doesn’t end,” said Schlossberg when speaking with his co-creators after Part 2. “It’s just that this is a story that really followed the redemption of Johnny Lawrence [played by William Zabka], and that story is going to come to a close. … Whether that’s delving into some of the characters and their pasts or where their future lies ahead, there will definitely be a lot of potential that you’ll see in those last episodes.”

Cobra Kai is written and executive produced by Heald, Hurwitz and Schlossberg via their production company, Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett executive produce for Westbrook Studios along with Susan Ekins in association with Sony Pictures Television. Macchio and Zabka are executive producers.
