The Washington Commanders are taking on the Dallas Cowboys and have already suffered a brutal injury. Star running back Brian Robinson Jr. has gone down in what looks like a brutal leg injury.

While carrying the ball, his ankle and lower leg appeared to get trapped under a Cowboys defender. Robinson was able to walk off the field on his own power, but he immediately sat on the benches and looked to be in significant pain.

Initially, the leg injury appeared to be rather significant. Robinson remained on the ground while training staff attended to him. The hope is that he only suffered a stinger and he can rejoin the team at some point on Sunday.

UPDATE:

Robinson is officially questionable to return with an ankle injury.
