Congrats! ‘School of Rock’ Child Stars Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli Are Married

Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli, who met while starring in the 2003 comedy School of Rock when they were child stars, are officially married.

The couple celebrated their nuptials during a ceremony that was held over the first weekend of the year, which was attended by their loved ones and a handful of costars from the beloved film.

Maryam Hassan – who starred as Tomika in the movie – took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 7, to document the wedding by sharing several videos from the special day. “1st post of the year and what better way to kick it off than with my framily of 20+ years?! I spent the past weekend witnessing Caitlyn & Angelo get married and it was absolutely beautiful and the perfect little reunion for us all!!!” Maryam, 31, wrote alongside the video. “The room was full of LOVE, LAUGHS, a lot of dancing and FOOD! (Baby, they made sure we were STUFFED).”

“Love y’all dearly and thank you both for kicking the year off with a BANGGG,” she concluded.

Other School of Rock costars that attended Caitlin, 33, and Angelo’s wedding included Rivkah Reyes, Brian Falduto, Joey Gaydos, Jr., Cole Hawkins, Aleisha Allen and Robert Tsai.

“Celebrating the marriage of CAITLIN & ANGELO with my forever fam,” Rivkah, 32, captioned a video from the wedding, which was set to Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen.” The song choice was seemingly intentional, as Principal Mullins (Joan Cusack) performed the track in the movie.

Meanwhile, Caitlin also took to Instagram to reflect on her wedding day with Angelo, 32. While she didn’t share many details about the ceremony, she did credit the long list of people that helped contribute to the event. “Special thank you to everyone who contributed to an unforgettable day!” she wrote alongside several photos from the evening.

In the photos, the bride stunned in a form fitting strapless white gown that included a thigh-high slit on the side. Meanwhile, Angelo, 32, opted to wear a classic black tuxedo.

Shortly after Caitlin shared the post, several social media users rushed to the comments section to gush about how great she looked and congratulate the couple on their nuptials. “You got married to Frankie! That’s awesome, school of rock is like my all time favorite,” one fan commented, and another chimed in, “Absolutely stunning! CONGRATULATIONS to you both and wishing you many beautiful years of health, happiness and marriage!”

Jack Black starred in School of Rock as Dewey Finn, a man who was kicked out of his bar band and took a job as a substitute teacher at a private school. He eventually taught his students how to become a band of their own through his love of music.

While many of the cast members stayed in touch, Caitlin and Angelo didn’t start dating until she moved near his home in Florida. They began dating in 2016 and publicly confirmed their relationship in 2021 when fans noticed a TikTok video that they appeared in together.

Despite first meeting as child actors, neither Caitlin nor Angelo have pursued the career in adulthood. He now works as a lawyer, and she is an OB-GYN ultrasound technologist.
