Dancing On Ice's Steve Redgrave axed from show with fans all saying one thing after exit

3 hours ago 3

Sir Steve Redgrave tonight became the latest celeb to be booted from Dancing On Ice. The Olympic legend was voted out during Sunday's episode of the ice skating reality show.

Dancing On Ice returned to our screens this evening, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern. Sir Steve returned to the ice with other celebs including Chris Taylor, Sam Aston and Charlie Brooks.

So far in the competition, we have said goodbye to contestants Chelsee Healey and Ferne McCann. And comedian Josh Jones is also off the ice after he had to quit following an injury, The Mirror reports.

After the rowing icon, 62, was voted off, Holly told him: "I'm so not ready to say goodbye to you." She added: "I was just talking to your children and they were like he has loved every second of this, you really have haven't you?"

He replied: "I haven't enjoyed the falling over, but it's been absolutely amazing and this young lady [his skating partner Vicky Ogden] has been incredible."

Although the host was sad to see the back of Sir Steve, many fans took to social media to share their relief at his exit. One person tweeted: "I guess the public got it right this week. It's about damn time." A second posted: "Finally he's gone."

Other viewers were left fuming over the show not having a dance-off again. On X, formerly Twitter, one person said: "Worst series of #doi #dancingonice not sure what they're trying to achieve not having a dance off? I know he's a sporting legend, but Steve Redgrave has to go."

Someone else wrote: "Still no dance off then. It's a mistake. I feel so sorry for whoever goes out tonight as it's likely it will be another person who deserves to stay."
