St. Vincent has won Best Alternative Music Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards ceremony this evening. Her All Born Screaming single “Flea” won over tracks by Kim Gordon (“Bye Bye”), Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (“Song of the Lake”), Fontaines D.C. (“Starburster”), and Cage the Elephant (“Neon Pill”).
Shortly afterwards, Annie Clark took home Best Alternative Music Album for All Born Screaming as well. In her acceptance speech, she thanked her collaborators on the LP, her wife, and her daughter, among others. Earlier in the night, St. Vincent won Best Rock Song for “Broken Man,” which was also nominated for Best Rock Performance but lost to the Beatles’ “Now and Then.”
Annie Clark issued All Born Screaming back in the spring of 2024. She followed it with a Spanish-language version of the album, titled Todos Nacen Gritando.
