Daniel Craig is a fan of how Chappell Roan is protecting herself from the pitfalls of being a celebrity, and he's using her journey as inspiration for his own life.
In an interview with The New York Times, Craig reflected on his life post James Bond, and explained that he "admires" Roan's approach to stardo
"I really admire the guts to say those things," Craig said of Roan being outspoken about her mental health as she deals with her newfound fame. "Celebrity kills you. Really, it's a terrible, terrible thing that can happen and I think you've got to really fight against all of the things that it throws in your face, because it's so easy to be tempted."
Last summer, Roan took to social media where she said she wouldn't tolerate toxic fan behavior.
"I don't care that it's normal," she said in a. "I don't care that this crazy type of behavior comes with the job, the career field I've chosen. That does not make it ok. That doesn't make it normal."
She reiterated her stance in a letter that she shared with her followers on Instagram, "For the past 10 years I've been going non-stop to build my project and it's come to the point that I need to draw lines and set boundaries. I want[ed] to be an artist for a very long time. I've been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions and I need to lay it out and remind you, women don't owe you shit."
