D. Woods is breaking her silence when it comes to her experience with Sean “Diddy” Combs. When speaking with ABC News, the former Danity Kane member, confessed why she felt now was the best time to speak out.

“I would say that this moment now is a time where I feel like my experience, my truth will really be heard and actually considered and believed,” D. Woods explained. “You know, he is looked at as a hero of our community, and myself included, I looked up to him, too. So a lot of people don’t want to believe that their hero can be this other person.”

After being chosen for Danity Kane on Making The Band 3, the singer-actress declared it was “Bad Boy for life,” but instead of it being a dream come true, D. Woods claimed Combs created a verbally abusive work environment.

“He did it in different ways with all of us, you know, picking and prodding— just a way to chip and knock away, but then praise you,” she noted.

The sentiment was followed by a clip from the reality show where he questioned her about her weight. “What’s your stomach looking like? For real, are you feeling a little thick,” Combs asked.

She also described the environment as “predatory,” saying that she constantly felt like a piece of meat and that she was only valued because of her sex appeal.

Woods was fired alongside Aubrey O’Day in the season four finale of Making The Band 4. Since then, Woods has appeared on different TV shows and is pursuing a career on Broadway.

She goes more into depth about working with Combs in Investigation Discovery’s new documentary, The Fall Of Diddy. Combs’ attorneys responded to the news of the documentary in a statement.

“The producers failed to provide sufficient time or details for his representatives to address unsubstantiated claims, many from unidentified participants whose allegations lack context. By withholding this information, they made it impossible for Mr. Combs to present facts to counter these fabricated accusations,” it read. “He has full confidence in the facts and the judicial process, where the truth will prevail: the accusations against him are pure fiction.”

Combs was arrested in September on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He’s been denied bail numerous times and will remain in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until his trial in May.

Fellow Danity Kane members Dawn Richard and Aubrey O’Day have been vocal about working with Diddy.

The Fall Of Diddy airs on Monday (Jan. 27) on ID and will stream on Max.
