Dave Coulier's wife, Melissa Coulier, is offering fans an update on his ongoing battle with cancer.

Speaking with ABC WXYZ Detroit on Wednesday, January 22, Melissa, 41, shared that the past few months have been challenging for the 65-year-old actor, as his treatment for stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma has brought on some "tough" times.

"He has some really tough days, and as the chemo has been accumulating it gets a little tougher and more difficult," she explained. Despite the physical toll, she emphasized that Coulier's attitude remains remarkably positive. "You need that in order to really fight it," she added.

To lift her husband's spirits, Melissa shared a touching daily ritual they've created. "Every morning, if he's feeling up for it, we try to put on a song and do a little dance party with the dogs," she said. Celebrating the good moments, no matter how small, has helped them cope with the difficult days.

The couple's support system is also proving invaluable during this tough time. Melissa noted that their family and friends have rallied around the Full House alum, especially since cancer has touched his life in devastating ways before. "He's had a lot of loss in his life when it comes to cancer," she shared. Coulier's mother, sister, niece, and another sister have all battled the disease, and Melissa believes his strength comes from honoring their memory and the way they fought.

Dave first shared his cancer diagnosis with the public in November 2024, admitting on the Today show in November 2024 that it felt like "getting punched in the stomach." He revealed that his first symptom was a lump in his groin, which had him anxiously awaiting the results to determine whether the cancer had spread. Thankfully, doctors informed him that the cancer had not progressed beyond his lymphatic system.

"I'm OK with whatever the news [is] going to be no matter how devastating," Dave said, recalling his thoughts as he waited for the results. "I've had an incredible life. I've had the most amazing people in my life. This has been an extraordinary journey, and I'm OK if this is the end of the journey."
