Dave Grohl calls off divorce in 'hopes to work things out' with wife after secret baby

Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Brum will reportedly reconcile their marriage after the Foo Fighters star admitted to secretly fathering a baby with another woman.

In September, the rocker shocked fans with a statement on Instagram which revealed he had cheated on his wife with an unnamed woman and was fighting to regain his family’s trust.

Although he penned: “We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together,” it was reported that he retained a divorce lawyer before the announcement.

The 55-year-old and Jordyn were also photographed on separate occasions without their wedding rings, which indicated they were headed for separation.

Despite this, new reports suggest that the musician is focused on working things out with his family and that, for now, the divorce is off the table.

According to a source via People: “He’s no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife.”

A second source added that Dave “loves his family,” and he’s “been prioritizing his family. He knows he messed up.

“It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.”

After marrying Jordyn in 2003, the couple welcomed daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

In the shock announcement, Dave wrote that he planned “to be a loving and supportive parent,” to his “new baby daughter.”

He added: “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

Although the couple have not publicly addressed the state of their marriage, multiple sources told the outlet that Jordyn, co-founder of an interior design firm, has known about the baby “for a while.”

At the time an insider claimed: “She was shocked when she found out about the baby. Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her.”
