Dean McCullough issued six-word warning by BBC Radio 1 co-star after I'm A Celeb row

BBC Radio 1 host Greg James has issued a warning to his broadcasting co-star Dean McCullough after tempers flared in I'm A Celebrity over the weekend.

Hosting his regular morning slot on BBC Radio 1 today (Monday, November 25) the presenter looked back over the biggest talking points of the weekend's coverage of the reality show, as he warned Dean: "Don't have a go at Tyrone", after the pair clashed on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, Greg joked as he added: "It's like having a go at Paddington, one of the most beloved creations ever. He's got plenty of time to redeem himself though."

Before that, the Radio 1 host gave his verdict on the incident and what might have been at the root of the issues: "I love a bit of tension on telly, and it was between Dean McCullough and Alan Halsall, Tyrone from Corrie. This is the thing, tempers are always going to fray, it's difficult isn't it? That's the problem with that show, you're like, you get five days in, you get hungry, you get a bit tired and then suddenly, before you know it, you're having a go at Tyrone."

After spending a few days with new campmates Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles in the luxurious junkyard camp, the radio DJ returned to the main camp where he took the opportunity to catch up on some sleep.

Despite Coronation Street star Alan carefully trying to rouse him, the DJ was not best pleased as he was awoken, before telling the soap actor: “You need to give me a minute. Listen to me, if you’re gonna wake me up, you need to give me a minute... No, no, you listen to me. You need to give me a minute, OK?”

It wasn't only Dean and Alan that didn't see eye to eye over the weekend, as Sunday's episode also saw Loose Women's Jane Moore become annoyed at newly appointed camp leaders Barry McGuigan and McFly star Danny Jones choice to pick her and Tulisa Contostavlos to maintain washing duties, as Jane said: “Is that because we’re women?”
