Diddy family's 'civil war' put on pause to celebrate a special moment

While Sean "Diddy" Combs awaits trial on charges that include racketeering and sex trafficking, his family is trying to hold the pieces of his $400 million media "empire" together.

Diddy, presently incarcerated in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, has a trial date set for May 2025 -- and recent reports have indicated that his mother and one of his sons are wrestling for control of his estate, his recordings, his image, and more. The resulting in-fighting threatens to destabilize the Combs family even further while the patriarch -- a globally-recognized rapper and producer -- sits behind bars.

However, in public, members of Diddy's expansive family -- which includes seven children from four women -- are trying to put up a united front even as his case spirals beyond control amidst new sexual assault allegations and lawsuits.

In a show of solidarity, Dana Tran -- the mother of Diddy's two-year-old daughter Love -- attended a high school football game alongside Diddy's son Christian. They were supporting Diddy's twin daughters with the late Kim Porter (who was also Christian's mother); the twins are cheerleaders at their high school.

While Diddy's legal team works around the clock to try to free him on bail before his trial in six months, his twin daughters are set for college, and Christian continues to battle his grandmother Janice for control over the empire Diddy built through his Grammy-winning recordings and establishment of Bad Boy Records as a powerhouse hip-hop label.

Combs' lawyers have made multiple requests and offers to get the 55-year-old released as part of a $50 million bail package. So far, Diddy has thrice been denied bail, and only time will tell if the sides can reach a compromise that would allow the family to be together again -- even if briefly.
